Drypoint and Lino Plates

Whilst I have sometime left before going back to college, I began scratching a Drypoint tile.
Inspired poor by ella bradford .
From the initial inspiration from Paul Niemiec I began scratching didn't n drypoint plate of my sister and her boyfriend from her graduation as I have taken this image myself and its a memorable day to my family.  From basic researched i looked in to more artist which have done drypoint in there work to get a wide range of artists.

Angie Hoffmeister Her work is the human figure and her drypoint shows imagination and depth in her which in a way i was trying to portray but it wasn't successful as i don't know what type of technique she has used to create that.

What ive started so far...

I am really dissapointing in the end product of my drypoint, its not the way i applied the ink its how poor the drawing is from trying to scrape one thing then realising at a later date that  it didnt look very good so i tried to draw out the top to hide it but it made it worse, so wasnt best pleased about the final outcome.

After finishing my drypoint instead of waiting till college on tuesday i did i quick sample or tester working with other inks. I used pen Parker Ink but as i have wet the paper the ink hasnt taken to the paper it has spread so this was another  good learning curve of what inks i can actually use for on a drypoint, but im not dissapoint that i did that as i didnt lose anything.

This is the final outcome and it shows how poor it is from making a mistake and trying to correct it on acetate, but a good lesson lernt and i now know for next time.

Lino Prints

I have produced a linocut but I really dont like it, the faces looked distorted and it all looks very odd shaped so i have decided not even to prinnt it as its that poor. and didnt really have any ins[piration from anyone as i only looked at Hubert Tereszkiewicz. I wasnt bothered about it not looking right as it was only an extra technique which I already had a memory from past experience that I wasnt a huge fan of lino printing but i didnt want to not experience it again incase it was just the first time attempt.
