After producing so many samples i wanted to begin making my final piece, but i came to the problem of not having a ful length mannequin so i spoke to jo my course leader about it and she mentioned that the college have got them from the store Marks and spencers before. As i was searching round the room also also asked richard the fine art tutor if he knew where any were, he took me to the Victoria building as thats where the ba fine sart university course is run, there was no look there. So then spoke to Mark Kim and Jo collins others tutors and tutors which dont teach on our course if they knew where was some there was stilll no look so me and kim then found a wobbly headless one in textiles, success!
I spoke to Jamie my course leader after trying to find limbs or even whole Manakins he suggested to use a skeleton and wrap it in a material to get proportions but this fulfill what i needed but then later that afternoon he found me a head for my mannequin. So now all i needed is arms so i may get another student shwo may let me wrap their arms in clean film them mod rock so i have a good shape of the arm to work from.
I Began by making my wire human figure piece for my final major piece but i had made the back of the mannequin and ran out of wire, so I spoke to jamie and he ordered me 100m straight away which i was very pleased about but it takes 4 days to arrive.
while waiting for my wire to arrive I produced a sample I produced a good strong face out of botttle tops to test whether the metal ones would hold as you can we below. As it was so succesful i asked around family and friends to begin collecting bottle tops.
Also as we set up a facebook page for our course to communicate easier, I wrote a status asking my course students to collect bottle tops for me.
